Overwhelming extinguishing performance proven at disaster sites

The excellent flame-retardant effect of K-Fire Retardant is being proven at sites of the Korea Forest Service, fire headquarters, and public institutions nationwide. We introduce representative cases where it has been deployed in actual large forest fire sites and prevention operations, producing successful results.

Application Case 01

Perfect block of inflow to private houses during large East Coast forest fire

During the large East Coast forest fire, which was spreading fearfully at over 20m/s on strong winds, a large amount of K-Fire Retardant was deployed during night extinguishing operations to prevent the flames from engulfing densely populated areas and major civilian facilities such as nursing hospitals.

Extinguishing vehicles were mobilized to drench an approximately 3km section bordering villages and forests with the retardant. Hours later, the fierce flames reached the applied section but could not penetrate the flame-retardant film and died down on their own. It was highly praised by fire officials as a successful case of building a perfect block line without a single instance of damage to private houses.

Application Case 02

Preemptive prevention spraying for national park millennium temples and cultural properties

During the spring dry season when the risk of forest fires reaches its peak, preemptive retardant application is regularly carried out around national parks where millennium temples and national treasure-level wooden cultural properties are concentrated. This is because, due to the nature of wooden buildings, there is a high risk of burning down completely from even a small spark.

K-Fire Retardant is 100% natural and can be sprayed directly without worrying about discoloration of dancheong or damage to wood in cultural properties. Once applied, the flame-retardant effect lasts for several months due to a special adhesive, excellently serving as a shield that firmly protects cultural properties from hikers' accidental fires or flying sparks.

Application Case 03

Preemptive application in special protection zones around KEPCO transmission towers

High-voltage transmission towers located deep in the mountains are national core facilities that can cause massive blackout damage in the event of a forest fire. The Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) and related organizations are conducting projects to extensively apply retardant to brush and twigs around transmission towers in preparation for the spread of large forest fires.

As a product that perfectly passed the strict Ministry of Environment standards of 0% soil and water pollution, it can be sprayed over a wide area without controversy over ecosystem destruction. It has no chemical odor and is harmless to the human body, showing high satisfaction among field workers and leading to successful delivery and prevention cases every year.
